Gamma Cameras
In the
upgrade for Starcam*
gamma cameras, the old computer and console built-in field correctors are
replaced by a last generation PC. All field corrections and image processing are
done digitally by the
IM512P/E software. Several models of GE Starcam* gamma cameras
can be upgraded in this way.

The upgrade for Orbiter**
gamma cameras eliminates the DOT terminal and removes all DOT bin boards.
Detector energy and linearity boards are not used anymore. All their functions
are now digitally done by the IM512P/E that uses a last generation PC to acquire
and process the images.
 Upgrade

Apex
Gamma Cameras
The upgrade for Apex
gamma cameras consists in a digital front end acquisition interface directly
connected with detector signals (analog summer). Original bulky consoles are
eliminated and all their functions are done by the IM512P/E that runs in a last
generation PC to acquire and process the images.
